Karen Gallagher-Burt

Director of Strategy & Engagement

2023 was a successful year for fund development. We hosted the 1st annual Drive for Distress Charity Golf Tournament in June, which raised over $50,000 to support our services. We were the recipient of funds raised by a number of third-party events including Darkness Into Light and Listen Up Calgary. We are grateful for the organizers of these events and their ongoing commitment to our work. Running events is extraordinarily challenging, but when done well, can attract new friends and funds for our organization.

We raised just over $1.3 million to support our core programming. Grant revenue, individual and corporate donations, and some amazing gifts in kind ensured stability for the people we serve.

You are invested in our work and we thank you for continuing to care about our organization.
